Could New Bridge Design Add Longevity And Reduce Costs?

This new bridge design is drawing a lot of attention. One of the problems of bridge deterioration is the breaking down or corrosion of the metal reinforcement rods. Imagine using a non corrosive material to form the cement into tubular shapes to give strength and eliminate the need for metal in the areas where corrosion can take place. Not only is it a cheaper alternative to the expensive metal parts but it could add to the length of the life of the bridge. This bridge will be closely monitored to see if the strength can be maintained. Read the full article: Going Tubular!
